‘Drishyam 3’ release date: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is all ready to return as the clever and cautious George Kutty in ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’, the highly anticipated third chapter of the beloved crime drama franchise. Fans of the series have been waiting with bated breath for the sequel. And now the excitement is building as new updates hint at possible release in April 2026.
The buzz around Drishyam 3 has been intense ever since filming wrapped up recently. According to industry tracker Forum Reelz, the Mohanlal-starrer could hit theatres on April 9, 2026.

If this date holds, the film would also mark Mohanlal’s first release of 2026.

Interestingly, the announcement comes shortly after Ajay Devgn’s Hindi remake of Drishyam 3 revealed its own release date. However, director Jeethu Joseph, who has helmed all three original Drishyam films, confirmed that the Malayalam version will release first.
In fact, Jeethu had earlier made it clear that the Malayalam team would take legal action if the Hindi remake tried to release before the original. This assurance has come as a big relief to Malayalam cinema lovers.
Although the makers have not officially confirmed the date, the April 9 timeline has created a wave of anticipation.
Mohanlal reprises his iconic role as George Kutty. He is an everyday man who keeps finding himself in extraordinary situations. Joining him are familiar faces from the first two ‘Drishyam’ films (Drishyam 1 and Drishyam 2). Meena plays his wife Rani. Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil are their daughters.
The ensemble cast also includes Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, KB Ganesh Kumar, and Santhi Mayadevi.
The film is directed and scripted by Jeethu Joseph, the mastermind behind the Drishyam franchise. Production is handled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
The theatrical, satellite, and post-theatrical digital rights have already been snapped up by Panorama Studios and Pen Studios.
